All is going well in my Dragon*con prep. I have all the campaigns, maps and characters sheets all ready to go. I have the t-shirts and other prizes also ready to go. We have over 20 people in each session last year and it was an awesome time. There were people thinking there were turtles, A huge Castle siege, even some time traveling wolves.
If you are thinking about getting a ticket , get one! it is a lot of fun and we always are a little crazy.

After 4 years I have sent a “proof of concept” copy of Into the Nexus to Margaret Weis. It was very scary to put what I had in my head on paper and send it out into the world. I originally wanted to make this game just a fun way to play D&D. Then as I reread the series again I realized i could make this into a world that people would want to play, even those who had no idea what the series was about. I love this world, and I love the game I made from it. If she comes back with a “good job, keep it up” I will be thrilled. If it turns out I have the chops to be a game designer, even better. To all the helped play test and proofread and try my crazy ideas I say Thank you. I will keep you posted
Today I actually have a book. It is a mere 22 pages,(Cover included) but it is a start. I am nervous because I am getting ready to send this to someone whose opinion of it matters a great deal. She seemed to like it when she heard about so I am very hopeful. I have spent 4 solid years and many more off and on getting this project to this point. Today I get to say I am a game designer. I want to thank all those who helped me test, and test, and oh yeah test some more. I plan to burn the midnight oil writing some intro and setup story tonight and tomorrow…. away she’ll go.

So I’m at Gen Con in Indianapolis. I am very excited to be running my game here. This is the Mecca of gaming. I have been running it for three years at Dragon Con to sold out rooms so I don’t know why I’m nervous. I guess it is because this is the gamers con. People will expect all the kinks worked out. In the last year I have made significant progress but it is still very much a rough draft. Well I guess I have procrastinated long enough. Back to making custom feats.
New Component , Traits. Are you a Defender or a Destroyer. Do you belong to the Dismembers only club? They can make you a force to be reckoned with, but the Wave must maintain balance.
Over 10 New feats have been added to the system. Will you pull your spells from “Within” or will you learn that “Silence is Golden”?

This year at Dragon*Con I will be trying a new adventure. It will be a pure dungeon crawl. Teams of adventurers will race though a dungeon maze created by the Sartan to protect one of their most valuable secrets. The Sartan are known for making mazes and labyrinths that will not just kill you but make you wish for deaths sweet release. This should be a fun adventure and hope to see you all there.
